A shooter has been identified in connection with a horrific shooting in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night. The 40-year-old man was identified as Robert Card.
At least 16 people were killed in a series of shootings in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night.
It is also estimated that 50 to 60 people were injured in these incidents. It is still unknown how many of these injuries were caused directly by a gunshot, according to sources cited by CNN.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has confirmed two separate active shooter incidents.

Maine State Police (MSP) stated that an active shooter scenario exists in Lewiston and residents are encouraged to seek shelter indoors. MSP is currently engaged in two separate research projects.

Police reportedly started the manhunt after a gunman opened fire at three different locations in Lewiston, Maine. Local people are encouraged to stay indoors for their own safety.

In the statement made by Maine State Police, it was said: “There is an active shooting situation in the city of Lewiston.” Law enforcement is advising people to stay inside. Please stay at home and lock your doors.
