Who is John Anthony Miller? Charged After Kill Jewish

A Nevada U.S. senator received a string of purportedly threatening voicemails including antisemitic remarks, leading to the arrest of a Las Vegas man.

According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nevada, John Anthony Miller was arrested after he left the messages between October 11 and October 19, which were filled with profanity and other threats. He then left another message on October 24.

Miller apparently said to the Jewish senator in one of the voicemails that he would “finish what [Adolf] Hitler started,” most likely alluding to the Holocaust, in which Nazi Germany murdered millions of Jews across Europe.

Miller is believed to have remarked in one of the texts, “All these f—g lies is in your fucking hands… and I’m gonna f—g see you soon,” according to ABC News. “You just f—g woken up a motherf—g monster, you f—g piece of s—, un-human, subhuman, you’re vermin… we’re gonna finish what Hitler started.”

“You done picked your side, b—,” he was said to have said.

According to the Department of Justice, in one of the messages left on October 17, Miller reportedly threatened to attack, kidnap, or possibly kill the senator.

Miller reportedly made an effort to meet the senator the next day by trying to get into the Lloyd D. George Courthouse in Las Vegas. He yelled obscenities and seemed irritated. Additionally, it is said that he disobeyed court security officer instructions.

Miller was charged with threatening a federal officer after being taken into custody on October 26.

Nov. 13 is set aside for a preliminary hearing before United States Magistrate Judge Elayna J. Youchah.

The voicemails were sent to Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen of Nevada, according to Fox News, however the department did not name the lawmaker.

The lone Jewish senator from Nevada, Senator Rosen, has been vocally supporting Israel, especially after the confrontation with Hamas, according to NBC News.

According to the site, the threats were made at a time when antisemitic occurrences in the United States had increased by 388% in response to the terrorist assaults in Israel by Hamas.
